NEXQ6GO cannot connect to Wifi/lan

Post by LTE_WAN »

So a few weeks ago I disable the wifi @ the Wireless Overview page - disable.

Now after enabling it I cannot connect, as it wont assign a DHCP address.

I noticed under edit/interface configuration/general setup/ the "Choose the network(s) you want to attach to this wireless interface" wont stick. I'll select the lan, save and apply, go back and its not selected.

(Ethernet connection works fine)

Any pointers would be appreciated.

Might just be best to reload the firmware. You'll have to email sales@thewirelesshaven.com for that I think.

Rather that reloading firmware, is reset a safer option? I'm losing confidence in this router and a return seems to be a wise option. Turning wifi off/on shouldn't be a cause for a firmware reload.

A google search "DHCP packet received on wlan0 which has no address" seems to be an old OpenWrt firmware issue.

Try the menu option --> System-->Backup / Flash Firmware --> Restore --> Reset to defaults and click the perform reset button

This is why I recommend reloading the firmware. Likely something when goofy in the background and re firmware refresh will likely fix it.

But try resetting it first and see if that clears it.

The reset did not work, the firmware re-flash did.
