Wireguard not working on NEXPRO router running Wifix firmware

I'm having issues with Wireguard on a NEXPRO running WiFIX. I can connect a tunnel and it shows connected, I can even ping the server and the server can ping the wifix rooter. BUT, when the tunnel is enabled and the "Send all traffic" option enabled on the Wireguard config, NO traffic gets routed across the wireguard tunnel, or out any wan for the matter.
It appears that the default route gets duplicated for both the wg0 interface and the 5g radio interface, making routing not work outside the wireguard subnet.
This same wireguard configuration will work correctly on a NEXS2GO router, so I know its not a configuration issue or even an issue with the wireguard server.
Has anyone seen similar or know where else to go for fixing the routing?
