Re: Router Locking Up
I've been having ongoing issues with my network, which seems to be related to the invisagig or the cell network. If you scroll to the last few posts in the following forum thread it appears that the modem is handing out DHCP leases when the modem loses it signal causing my LAN devices to lose ...

Re: Router Locking Up
Thank you for the detailed post.
For clarity, "The first I would suggest would be to set the IPPT MAC address of the PFSense WAN port manually" I assume means copy the IPPT MAC from the IG ui, then paste it into the "MAC Address" setting of the pfSense WAN interface configuration? (The subtext ...

Re: Router Locking Up
For the WAN interface the IG is connected to, you may also need to uncheck the option for blocking private networks since the 192.168.225.1 is in the RFC 1918 space.
Your post prompted me to read the RFC 1918/Private Network Addressing Wiki, which made me realize that the private address ...

Re: Router Locking Up
Sure. I'm going to give it a few days, at least through the weekend. Previously I've thought I'd solved it only to have the issue start back up a few days later. This time though, I'm a lot more optimistic.

Re: EM12-G on Raspberry PI 5B
The issue was sorted out by https://github.com/4IceG He found that this module has a custom firmware and was taken from a laptop and suggested to use MBIM mode and it worked on OpenWRT

I believe that's the one
Run the commands AT+QCFG=?
and AT+QNWCFG=?
and AT+QNWPREFCFG=?
to get a list of all the possible commands.

Re: Router Locking Up
An update: I had to go out of town, so I wrote a sh script in pfSense router to ping LAN IPs of several devices that should be online. If no response, reboot. If OK, then ping internet servers. If no reponse, cycle the WAN gateway on/off. The evening before I was leaving, the network went down, the ...

Re: SIM8380G-M2
Interesting....
The Fibocom works well as a backup but, it's SLOW
In MBIM mode / PCIE mode the modem seems to be using hotspot data and when doing a traceroute it shows the hops across TMO's network vs the IPv6 generic 192.0.0.1 in USB mode w the SIMcom

Re: Mcuzone 5G to 2.5 lan antenna upgrade
Okay. I'm still learning about the hardware. I keep having problems with my pings, until I've realise that the factory 4 antennas is garbage.... So, I've found two worthy antenna upgrades. I can keep it sleek and discrete or I can just simply upgrade from these crappy ones. So these are two of the ...

Head over to the Quectel forums and ask a moderator there for a latest firmware update: https://forums.quectel.com/

Re: Internet not working on one specific computer
Problem solved, the DNS in my computer for some reason was wrong. I went to the router settings and changed “custom DNS” to “override all client’s DNS”. Now internet is working again.

Re: Internet not working on one specific computer
It's usually a simple solution to an elusive problem.
I always disable IPv6 both on the router's modem and LAN/WiFi interfaces, and the pc (just don't like IPv6 for some reason lol).
Then I set the DNS to 1.1.1.1 and 8.8.8.8 on both the router and pc's LAN/WiFi interfaces for better performance.

I am trying to set up a home made LTE router, since I have one laying around, and need something to use my time on ;)

Alright, I downloaded the latest firmware 4.9.5-5500-std and manually flashed without saving any configurations. Then i reset factory defaults and then reset modules just for good measure. System log never shows the IMEI of the 2nd module anywhere throughout. It's really making me think the USB port ...

Re: MOFI5500-5GXeLTE-EM7411-DUAL Latest firmware deleted my 2nd modem
If the router was working fine and would recognize both modems "prior" to the upgrade, then the new firmware seems to be the contributing factor. And, while I am not very familiar with their firmware and/or update process:
1. "if" the new firmware is of a different kernel, and
